Healthy communities begin with informed and motivated youth workers. With this vision in mind, Stowarzyszenia Polish Healthy Life Association has joined the Erasmus+ Mobility of Youth Workers project "Energize Your Body, Optimize Your Life" as a partner organisation. Coordinated by FI Gesundheits- und Sportverein, the project (2025-1-AT01-KA153-YOU-000299912) is taking place in Klagenfurt, Austria.

The project responds to the growing need for youth workers to address health-related challenges affecting modern society. Increasing levels of physical inactivity, unhealthy eating habits, mental stress, and misinformation about fitness and nutrition have made health education an essential part of youth work. Through this Erasmus+ mobility, participants gain practical knowledge that enables them to become more effective educators, mentors, and community leaders. Rather than focusing exclusively on theory, the project encourages active participation through workshops, collaborative discussions, experiential learning activities, and intercultural exchange, ensuring that every participant develops skills that can be immediately applied in their daily work.

During the programme, participants explore a broad range of subjects related to physical and mental well-being. Interactive sessions examine balanced nutrition, exercise planning, sports psychology, hydration, healthy daily routines, sustainable lifestyles, and methods for identifying misinformation surrounding health and fitness. Participants also take part in practical workshops where they learn by doing, allowing them to experience educational methods that can later be transferred to young people in their own communities. This combination of theory and practice creates an engaging learning process while increasing participants' confidence in delivering health-related activities.

As a partner organisation, Stowarzyszenia Polish Healthy Life Association plays an important role in promoting international cooperation and encouraging the exchange of successful youth work practices. Working alongside organisations from six European countries provides an excellent opportunity to compare different educational approaches, discuss local challenges, and identify innovative solutions that can be adapted across borders. The project not only enhances individual competencies but also strengthens long-term institutional partnerships that may lead to future Erasmus+ collaborations focusing on health promotion, inclusion, and active citizenship.

An equally valuable aspect of the mobility is its multicultural dimension. Throughout the week, participants engage in intercultural activities that encourage dialogue, mutual respect, and understanding between different cultures. By sharing traditions, experiences, and perspectives, youth workers develop stronger intercultural communication skills while building lasting professional relationships. These connections create an international network of organisations committed to improving the quality of youth work through cooperation, innovation, and shared learning.

The outcomes of "Energize Your Body, Optimize Your Life" extend far beyond the project week in Austria. Upon returning to their home countries, participants will apply the newly acquired knowledge in local workshops, educational activities, community initiatives, and future Erasmus+ projects. By multiplying the project's results within their organisations and communities, they will contribute to healthier, more active, and better-informed young generations across Europe. Through the dedication of FI Gesundheits- und Sportverein, the commitment of partner organisations such as Stowarzyszenia Polish Healthy Life Association, and the collaborative spirit of all participating countries, the project stands as an excellent example of how international cooperation can generate sustainable impact in youth work and health education.
